Ownby's Woodcrafts

With six generations of crafters in the family,Ownby's Woodcrafts is one of the oldest and most well-known businesses in the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts community. Oliver Ogle and Lum Ownby began handcrafting chairs and handwoven baskets in the late 1800's. Today the Ownby family still crafts all our products by hand with the same care and attention to detail our fathers used.

We feature a wide variety of unique handcrafted items including handwoven baskets, footstools, old timey children's games and toys, and our perennially popular wooden fruit.

When you visit Ownby's Woodcrafts in the heart of the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community, you will be greeted by a member of the Ownby family. You may even be able to watch crafts being made. Currently four generations of Ownbys create the crafts available in our shop and at area arts and crafts fairs.
